So, she pulled out a sheet of paper and wrote the kind man a note. She even threw in $20—it was all she had on her. The solider shared how thankful she was and she asked him to use the money to get a drink.

When she finished writing, she asked the attendant to give him the note. While she knew it wasn’t a lot, it was the best she could do. This was everything she could think of on a plane to express her gratitude.
